Basketball in Den Haag

Participating in basketball offers children an excellent opportunity to develop both physical and mental skills. Since 14.9.2023, SC Amforça is registered as a sports club and association situated in Den Haag. In season 2024/2025, SC Amforça has registered a U10 and U14 team to compete in the official NBB Basketball leagues. The home matches are held on Sundays at Laan van Poot 22, The Hague if not communicated otherwise. Through our basketball training near you, children not only improve their physical fitness but also develop important life skills such as teamwork, discipline and leadership. SC Amforça membership & academy fee

For our basketball training courses, we work with paid professional coaches to help create well-deserved jobs for skilled trainers. Because of our unique concept, it is impossible to compare us with other associations. In other basketball and sports associations, costs are often compensated through income from the first team. Other clubs use the membership income from all members mainly for their selection teams, most of which do not have a qualified or paid coach. We work differently and we know this impacts the rates a lot. We are happy to accept young players who are willing to practice and learn, and whose parents stand behind this concept as well.

The total fee per year is around 1600 €.

Where does this fee come from? SC Amforça membership is 600 euros per year (including a high-quality track suit and match jersey set). Plus, around 1000 euros on top is to be paid in monthly instalments for being part of the basketball academy as well. This allows your child to participate in additional team and skills training and get discounts on sports camps for example. The amount varies a bit depending on the age group. This has to do with the fact that basketball training for the U10 and U12 team is integrated in our after-school care and after-school academy concept.
