Participating at SC Amforça in basketball in Den Haag (The Hague) offers children an excellent opportunity to build both physical and mental skills. Since 14.9.2023, SC Amforça is registered as a sports club & association, and it is situated in The Hague (Den Haag). SC Amforça has registered several teams to play competition in the official NBB Basketball leagues. Our home location is at Sports Hall Houtrust at Laan van Poot 22 in The Hague (Den Haag). At SC Amforça, children not only improve their physical fitness but also develop important life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and leadership. Whether your child is a beginner or an advanced player, our basketball programs provide the perfect environment to grow.
Basketball Sunday Academy Training
On Sundays between 13:00 and 15:00 (in winter 13:30-15:30) there is an additional selection training for players and the general academy training for everybody, who wants to improve their skills. (for a trial lesson please get in touch with us first. sc@amforca.com )
NBB competition & Teams
SC Amforça has an U10, U12 and U16 team and these teams play in the official Dutch basketball federation (NBB) leagues. Girls and boys can both join. We are growing! Feel free to contact us if interested!

SC Amforça membership & academy fee
At SC Amforça, we pride ourselves on working with paid and professional coaches and we fully stand behind that decision to help creating well deserved jobs for good basketball coaches.
Therefore, our concept is different to other basketball clubs and it is impossible to compare us with other associations. In other basketball associations and clubs in various sports disciplines such as football, costs are often compensated through income from a 1st team, for example, and other clubs use the membership income from all members mainly for their selection teams, whereof many teams do not have a qualified or paid coach. We are different and we know that this impacts the rates a lot. And we are happy to accept young players, who are willing to practice and to learn, and where parents stand behind this concept as well.
The total fee per year is around 1600 €.
SC Amforça membership: 600 € per year (including a high quality track suit and match jersey set)
PLUS:
around 1000 € on top to be paid in monthly instalments for being part of the basketball academy as well, which allows to participate in additional team & skills trainings and which allows to get discounts on basketball camps, for example.
This amount varies a bit, depending on the age group. This has to do with the fact that trainings for the U10 and U12 team are integrated in the Amforça - BSO after school care and after school academy concept. For more information, we are happy to explain more details.
